About The Project

In 2015 and in partnership with Community Pride Advocates, a committee consisting of a broad representation from major civic organizations began to review the original design and develop a comprehensive plan. The committee centered on (3) major components; (1) a multi-function Ramada including an outdoor stage pavilion, (2) a 170,000-square foot outdoor event center and a grassy area with walking paths; (3) a completed flag park with integrated shaded picnic/benches and walking paths. Other amenities within the Civic Park design are restrooms, various types of appropriate area lighting and a parking section.

The City of Bullhead City is a major partner in the development of this project. The Bullhead City Council approved the general plan in April 2016. Meetings with the Bullhead City Manager and Bullhead City Engineer have resulted in the City’s commitment to provide water to the site, as well as to provide the complete design and structural criteria for the restroom facility. Ongoing budget allocation from the city as well as city resources in engineering and the parks departments are included in the city’s partnership.
